2 year old entitlement

This scheme is for families who receive additional government support. Your 2 year old could be eligible for 15 hours/week of funded nursery hours

This scheme is available for 2 year old children

Childcare for working parents

The Working Family Eligibility scheme applies to both 2-year olds and 3-4 year olds. Children within working families may be eligible to receive up to 15 hours of funded childcare (term-time only). Starting dates will vary, depending on when you apply.

This scheme applies to children aged 2-4 years

Can be either 15 hours (for 2 year olds) or 30 hours (for 3 & 4 year olds)

option three

Universal 15 hours childcare for 3 & 4 year olds

All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours each week of government funding for 38 weeks of the year (term-time only). This funding stops when your child starts in Reception class.

Available for all families with 3 & 4 year old children

You can claim from the term after your child’s third birthday (September, January or April)

Universal Credit Childcare

You may be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs if you’re eligible for Universal Credit.

You might also be able to get help with your initial upfront childcare costs.

To be eligible you need to be either in paid work or starting a job in the next month

You will need to pay for Nursery upfront and then seek reimbursement

Tax-free childcare

Available for working parents, via their employer

For every £8 you pay in, the government will automatically add £2

Capped at £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for disabled children)

Only available through specific employers who offer this scheme

Pay full price

If you’re not eligible for any of the above funding schemes, we accept children from families who can pay full price

Half-day and full-day options available
