Reception
Our Reception classes offer a friendly and accommodating environment for a positive start to your child’s education, helping to build the skills that will help throughout their school experience.
Year One
Our Year One curriculum nurtures
curiosity through play-based learning,
creativity, and exploration – ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shift to formal learning.
Year Two
With hands-on activities and collaborative projects, our Year Two learners gain confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them, fostering a love for learning.

Assemblies
We have a full and varied calendar of assemblies throughout the academic year that link to the main festivals celebrated in multi-cultural Britain.
Assemblies are also used to celebrate achievement and diversity in the school.
Sharing Assemblies take place twice termly when children share their learning and achievements in front of the school and parents – It’s a wonderful growth experience for our children and helps parents feel included, too.
Out in the Community
Twerton Infant School is proud to have strong links with the local community, fostering meaningful connections that enhance our children’s learning experience.
Through partnerships with local organizations like Bath City Farm, Baskervilles gymnastics club, St Michael’s church, Creative Twerton, and Bath Spa University, we provide opportunities for learners to engage in community activities and learn about their surroundings.
Books and Bagels
At our infant school, we offer the popular Books and Bagels reading programme, designed to bring parents and children together in a fun and relaxed setting.
This twice-weekly programme encourages a love of reading by providing families with the chance to enjoy a story, share books, and enjoy a light breakfast together.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage in their child’s literacy development while building a positive reading routine at home.
Books and Bagels fosters a strong reading culture within our school community and strengthens the bond between home and school learning.
